I shared the room mic’d version of “I Promised I’d Write Something Nice” with a few people and I got this back from William Merriman of The Harvest Ministers who stands as one of my favorite songwriters.
“it’s good, good melody, arrangement, sentiment. what else is there?”
I am sure he was being kind but it made me smile none the less.
